Re: New Post by Chogon
... thanks to these hackers you so dislike. And so on. Again, had you read my posts you would have seen that I actually use Drizzle (being quite aware, like everyone else, that it's a hack) and that I appreciate Dustin's work so far. A wilful misunderstanding again?
By the way, my response was ...

Re: New Post by Chogon
kaelisebonrai, you're wilfully missing the point, aren't you? When accusations such as "not having a brain" start to fly, it's a clear sign of something.
Stop babbling about your private use.
There is a problem with file sharing, and your post demonstrates why. People are concerned about that.

Re: New Post by Chogon
Yeah, resignation is the way to go. Right.
Of course people think that Dustin pays attention. Why not? He comes through as a reasonable guy.
And no doubt the MQ files have already been converted. But why release a tool so that all and sundry can convert them?

Re: New Post by Chogon
People will hack their stuff. They know that. In fact they're overjoyed about it because it is really good for their sales. They add their copy protection stuff just as a service to hackers, to give them more to do.

Re: New Post by Chogon
I note that no-one here has said anything along the lines of "CompanyX is infallible". Which may mean that communities are indeed boring.
Hacking is of course infallible, though. We are glad to have the knights in shining armour fight the good fight.
Any news on anything Uru related?

Re: New Post by Chogon
Private use is probably not an issue. It's not allowed, but no-one needs to know, or wants to know, what you do with your files on your home computer. (Well, don't share them.)
However, once converted, you could put the ages on a shard right? And play MQO for free? I doubt very much that Creative ...

Re: Random thoughts
In terms of fun gameplay, it might have been fun if Cyan made it so that you only have to wear the shirt the *first* time you go there, and after that it is like you have solved the "puzzle" and collected the Age. Having Ages that you have to go to the closet each time first is not fun gameplay in ...

Re: Random thoughts
That's a good point, too - I mean, who do you expect to meat there?
Yeah, but now that someone did make the effort to make the Guild Pubs accessible offline anyway, I thought it might be possible to make them more interesting for offline play, somehow.

Re: Random thoughts
Oh, now I get it - though I still don't see why Nexus should have a camera and an AI behind it identifying cloths and their logos and colour... alternatively, the guild shirts could have a RFID tag adding the link . That would be a way to explain it

Great to hear you like the general direction the project is taking Just wanted to check that I got it right ... no use rambling on if I got things completely wrong at the outset
I can not do these prp modifications myself, but it seems we found someone who's willing to do it, so it will be ...
