I loaded (installed) Gehn yesterday and didn't have any sound, so I ran the Gehn Repair which got the sound working

Did you install to Program Files (which is the default) and which IMHO shouldn't be the default.
Just as a note, we've had some discussions about this, and the problem is that ProgramData doesn't exist on XP so we would need to install in two different locations based on which version of Windows ...
