Re: Rate my cakes!
I'm too lazy to look through more than four of the 130 pages of cakes, I'm afraid, but I do feel pretty lucky that I got to see and eat a Relto Book cake by Kierra! Om nom nom.

Re: Writers at Mysterium 2008?
Did everybody vote in the last selection decision about where Mysterium was going to be held this year? The contest filtered down until it was between Boston and Atlanta but Boston got more votes. The committee doesn't just decide off the tops of their heads.

Re: Mysterium 2008 Age Creation Videos
Well, having been there, I didn't hear anyone walking away going "Oh, what the heck? I couldn't make heads or tails of that!" All I heard was "Wow, that looks really cool. I want to make Ages too!"
I think everyone understood that Bryce is just one way to make a quick terrain to play with.

ROFL, Jojon caught my little reference there. XD
Robert, it was great to have you present (sweet, two meanings of this word apply!). Getting to see the entire process sort of condensed made it seem much less threatening overall. Thanks so much again!

Re: Texuring Tutorial Request
Wow, Andy... see, in all my months of playing with Blender, looking through wikis and forums and tutorials around here and elsewhere, your post is the very first I've heard of mipmapping involving layers like that. I've only heard the word "mipmap," and had no idea what it meant. This is the sort of ...

Re: What about a tilted ladder?
Thank you, Grogyan! I'm nowhere near ready to begin to learn the scripting portions of building my age, and am starting with the bones... just doing the modeling itself. But it's really good to know what I will and won't be able to do when it comes time to learn to "make the bones run."

What about a tilted ladder?
Hi everyone! I've been on another hiatus from lurking here, since it's been a busy month, but I'm ready to jump back in and figure out what I was doing with my age before my break. So I'm looking at a multi-level section I've modeled, and I'm thinking about a ladder to get from one level to the next ...
