I can see how people might think it's just talk, but those who know me, know that I don't lie. It wasn't too diplomatic of me to have said that in the UAM message, but it's entirely true.
I'm not back in the forums, but I will post this now, though I don't intend to respond to anything that will ...

Re: Incomprehensible crash
Yes, that could be done. Sometimes getting the stacktrace is more useful though, because it can point out precisely what the problem is.
Re: Llantern - V002 OUT! Download now!
Actually, that's not true. This list of updates is always here: http://dusty.homeunix.net/uru-ages/uam.updates.htm , and that page also has a handy link to the manual downloads here: http://dusty.homeunix.net/uru-ages/uam.status.xml It is considerably simpler ...
Re: Llantern - V002 OUT! Download now!
Okay, it's on Drizzle/UAM and the UAM shard now! By the way, there's a link on the left of here: http://dusty.homeunix.net/wiki/Main_Page , to "Upload an Age" which leads here: http://dusty.homeunix.net/upload/ This is the best way to submit an Age, as I am automatically ...

Re: sparkilies in uru offline?
Yes, all the sparklies are available offline. Make sure you do the Moul and Pots conversion on Drizzle's conversion tab: http://dusty.homeunix.net/wiki/Drizzle

Re: objects in relto?
If you are the author of the Age, it is fairly easy to do: http://dusty.homeunix.net/wiki/UAM/ReltoPages
If you are trying to get objects from just the .prp files, that is a lot more difficult, and requires either a lot of time-consuming work or the distillation feature of Drizzle ...

Re: UAM Shard Bug Thread, found a bug post um here
(I don't read the forums too often, so sorry for the delay.)
Karkadann fixed it and sent me the update, and it's been on UAM since the 6th: http://dusty.homeunix.net/uru-ages/uam.updates.htm It works great now.

No problem; don't worry :)
(I prefer email to forums anyway. Sometimes I go several days without reading the forums.)

Re: Latest version - (v.0.8.9.5 - Dec. 12 2007)
Just wondering, would it be possible to just distribute a new shell, instead of updating the whole Ahra Pahts Age?
Yes, it is currently possible to, but it might be a bit of a confusion with keeping the parts in sync. In practice, there aren't many updates to Ahra Pahts, and even on a 1.5 megabit ...

Re: Network Access
Yes, an age could download and execute code with this package. That is what Drizzle means when it speaks of a security risk.
However, it is easy to spot an age which uses this package, which btw consists of (or at least should consist of) modules already present in any standard Python installation ...
