Re: Breldur, my new age

Awesome machine, Jonnee- I can see the riven influence! Your texturing skills are incredible, all the engravings look 3d. If you don't mind my asking, how did you animate the steam coming from the teapot?

Re: Chain letter age

Is it my turn now? I have an idea in mind... the addition doesn't need to be something explorable, right?

Resources

I thought it might be a good idea to make a thread with resources in it, so that there would be common textures etc. throughout the age. To start it off, here's a set of spanish moss (hanging moss) photoshop brushes. They work in the GIMP as well. I'm finding them really handy for the mangroves :D

Re: "Mangrove" Trees

I find mangrove leaf #7 is the most similar to the mangroves around here, but my favorite is the one you've put on the mangrove drawing.

Re: What to do with the project?

Jennifer, I have more time to contribute now- sorry for running off before . I'll get the mangrove plants done this week, have the concepts changed? I'd also be happy to work on any other stuff- maybe architectural/hard surface things, because organics aren't proving to be my strong point so far ...

Re: Updated Uru graphics

(Before I begin: this is my understanding of the way Plasma and the GoW are related, so certain things could be wrong.)
The updates you're thinking about (except the texture one, that's another problem altogether) involve modification of Plasma- that's the game engine that runs Uru. The GoW don't ...

Re: Chain letter age

I'm really sorry, but can Core43 go and then me? I have exams all of this week, so I don't really have time for using the computer >_>

Re: Things that Make You Say Hmmm.

I *think* Jusme is talking about puzzles that involve the physics engine, and whether PyPRP is capable of making them- and also whether the physics engine is up to physics puzzles. Think gira baskets.

The engine can do physics puzzles, but they all sucked in Uru. Better off sticking with good old ...

Re: Breldur, my new age

I cannot wait to visit Breldur! Everything looks really good, even with the low quality fraps recording! And the size...

Re: Proportional Edit doesn't work

Hmm... have you tried moving the mouse up and down instead of scrolling it? That works for me. If that doesn't work, you could go into sculpt mode and constrain it to the z axis, which would allow for more interesting hills.
