Re: Operating System Survey!

As I'm sure many of you know, Microsoft is going to officially stop supporting Windows XP in 2014.
I actually did not know this, so thank you for the heads up. 2014 looks like such a futuristic date, until i do the math and realize it's barely two years away! Technically I'm running Win XP Pro ...

Re: How many shards? Features of the various shards?

If I understood catherwood properly, he is speaking about a chart comparing the different versions of Uru, not all the Shards.
(psst, i'm a 'she'.)

I don't think of that as a 'shard' in the sense of a live server where players can meet in the same space. If, on the other hand, 'shard' simply means any server, then ...

Re: Sounds Mathematical

I like the idea of hearing vocalizations -- Yeesha begins speaking in D'ni before switching to English for us, so there is both precedent and unlocked potentional there. It lends itself well to the type of pattern-matching and exploration of the culture that good Myst puzzles are built on.

As one ...

Re: Introduce Yourself

I'm new to the GoW, but an old-timer in D'ni years. I have owned every iteration in the Myst series, and I have played Uru since the dawn of time. My housemate was in the first beta test group, so I have seen many variations of the cavern, but I have never installed the extra bits to view your ages ...
