Re: Soundtrack piece

It seems a bit monotonous and repetitive, and at the very beginning, the string notes end a bit too abruptly for my taste. In fact, the string part in general lets the piece down a bit.
I kind of know what you mean. I originally had the part at the beginning written for vocals, but then changed it ...

Soundtrack piece

Here is a piece I have been working on sporadically for a while. It is nowhere near complete. I had more full version of it (more brass), but I lost that due to a poor job of backing up files during a OS reinstallation. I fortunately happen to have a hardcopy of the newer score, so I should be able ...

Re: Interactive Fiction Idea

Also, if anyone is interested in writing, I have created a simple extension for Inform for making linking books.
I'll post it if anyone is interested.

Re: Interactive Fiction Idea

A friend and I once mused that with some changes, you could probably take the references of Adventure, and turn them into a way down into D'ni. (maybe from one of the fan-vent-openings).

Short Sample

Here is a short little piece that I wrote for my friends who were doing a short movie of Shirley Jackson's "The Lottery" for a school assignment.

Re: My age (Intro - in story form)

Sounds cold. Eerie. Spooky.
I like it. :)
I can't help but think how fun it would be to write music for it.
Thin instrumentation, probably featuring flute and piccolo.

Re: Easy Music Software

If you are familiar with music notation, you may want to take a look at MuseScore (http://musescore.org/)
It is Open Source (therefore free) and if you install a good soundfont with it, you can produce fairly high quality music.

Interactive Fiction Idea

I've had an idea that's been bouncing around in my head for a few years...
What about (a) Myst related interactive fiction game(/s) made using inform ( http://www.inform-fiction.org/I7/Welcome.html )?
It is an extremely easy system to learn and could be easily used by those who feel ...
