Two PMs submitted so far.
Tweek, yes - it was kind of a mess as contests go, poorly planned, but I think we'd pretty clearly established the deadline even if other aspects of the contest were vague.
Tweek, if you want to PM me and Andy with a number, now is a good time to do that. Same goes for ...

Re: Investing in GoW production
Yeah, I think it was fundamentally a good idea, but it was poorly organized, poorly promoted, and victim to bad timing.
But back to what Andy Legate decided to do with the prizes:
I have a PM from Andy Legate listing his randomly generated numbers.
What I don't have yet is much response from ...

Re: Investing in GoW production
Agreed. Andy wins.
I'll give Andy Legate the top prize (actually, all the prizes) as his was the only entry submitted - now all he has to do is decide what to do with/where to send the various items I've listed.
As for why there were not more judges - I asked people to volunteer to judge with me ...

Re: Investing in GoW production
It's May 16th, and only one person submitted an entry.
This is a problem, as this was meant to be a *contest* - maybe we should extend the entry deadline and allow for late entries.
What do you all think? Extension to June 20th?
I was hoping for at least four entries...

Fantastic choice, Andy Legate - that's a very impressive and useful tutorial.
Anyone else have an entry to submit?

Re: Investing in GoW production
Okay... back to the original plan then, and the original prizes/gifts, if you all are in favor of that.
May 15th: Submission deadline. (five days from now - start posting entries!)
Late May: Judging. I'll work through the entries submitted, following every tutorial from start to finish. I will ...

Re: Investing in GoW production
Or we could just cancel the contest altogether if that's how everybody feels, and I could design one texture pack of moderate size for every person who submits an entry by the 15th, rather than judging and determining four winners.
That might be a better option if we have less than four people - or ...

Re: Investing in GoW production
Ouch. So you're saying if I buy people gifts, this is considered profiting from Uru for (those) people I'm giving the gifts to.
In other words - not allowed...
*sigh* I think you may be right about that.
But, could I consider (instead of buying gifts for the winners) offering my TIME to the ...

Re: Investing in GoW production
Yes, I think it'd be best to make the limit one entry per person.
And I'll try to publicize the event more, and the existing GoW tutorials more.
Thank you for creating so many tutorials, Andy, that's really helpful to the Uru community.
