Re: Reflecting on 10 Years of Open-Source Uru

Re: Adding Simple Clickable Notes
Journals, OTOH, are all constructed inside the engine C++ code (with a little help from python to source the text book options) and avoid this limitation. The file containing the journal code is over 3,000 lines long :ugeek:

Re: Adding New Fan Ages
Deep Island is run by diafero and he is best reached by e-mail. The address is in the signature on the profile page.
I would recommend testing the ages on an offline PotS install with Offline KI first though before having him install them on the shard.

Re: Fan Age expedition: the early Ages
They ressurected old sections that were hidden from views.
Oh wow, I hadn’t noticed that they opened up the formerly private beta and rehearsal forums! Thanks for mentioning that. That’s great, because it means they will be archived and I won’t have to do that myself.

Re: URU Survey
I don't suppose you have the time or interest in helping us smoke out a problem preventing a macOS release for Korman, do you? I suspect it's a linkage incompatibility between what Blender is built against versus my system, because if I build a complete Blender from source it all works.

Re: URU Survey
I suspect some respondents are no longer creating content.
When they were, they used Blender 2.49.
Yes. I’m one of those. Nowadays I would of course use Korman.
I’m not the one who voted “all of them, at some point” for the macOS wrapper question

Re: Age Lighting a conversation
Obviously inside the shed I want no influence from the Sunlight I want the Spotlight responsible for the lighting. How do we stop the sunlight lighting the Avatar inside the shed.
This can be done with soft volumes. At least it could in POTS. I have no idea how to do it with Korman, but there is ...

Re: Korman Ladder Tool
I don’t know if there is a better solution, but have you tried just replicating the Er’cana situation? Put the ladder into a narrow invisible tunnel so that the 3rd-person camera does not have space to go sufficiently far away for the avatar to become visible? I seem to remember that colliders can ...
