Re: Starting over

oh well maybe that is it.\

Just tried it and it fixed everything I was having a problem with. Thanks a lot man. Now if we can just fix this this 3d view gfx glitch. When I rotate its as if everything in the scene is popping in and out of perspective, but that isn't what it is doing. That's just ...

Starting over

http://s353.photobucket.com/albums/r363/bnewton81/URU/?action=view&current=Blender249error.png How do I fix this? I have 2.49 64bit. I used a zip and copy pasted it directly from the zip to the x86programs folder. Shouldn't everything blender needs be in that zip? It's acting as if I don't have 15 ...

Re: odd blender 2.49 UI problem

Well made some headway. Found that if I use the onboard gfx there is no problem with blender, but I can't switch every time I want to do something in blender. Also, this is strange, if I open a 2.49 age blend in 2.61 and then save it, and then open it in blender 2.49 the gfx are fine. Very strange ...

Re: odd blender 2.49 UI problem

Ok, what happens is that objects on the screen twitch out of location when rotating or scaling. Also I just noticed that the mouse cursor isn't being drawn in the location which it appears to be in. Like I try to select an object and nothing happens or I press BB for the brush select and the circle ...

Re: 2.49 install issue Ubuntu

Oh very good. I hadn't even thought of ubuntu as running on python. I'm still thinking in windows terms were windows runs solely on memory. Thanks a lot man.

2.49 install issue Ubuntu

I have just about given up on fixing the damn UI problem I'm having with 2.49 in windows, so I installed ubuntu on a spare drive and am running it now, but I am getting an error when i try to install 2.49 that says (basically) that Python 2.5 isn't there. Does anyone have any idea how to work around ...

Re: odd blender 2.49 UI problem

Ok, I have noticed that this UI problem happens much more often in proportion to the amount of things on my screen. I mean that it won't happen until I have a considerable amount of verts, but the more verts I have the worse the problem. I'm working with Zuri on an age and when I load it into ...

Re: Ramblings from a Noob +1

Andy's a damn show off. :D Those are beautiful!! is that in game? What engine?

I'm not trying to talk anyone out of using Plasma. I'm just saying that I don't think that anyone in the near future is going to make a new Myst game. I see all the talent here in the GoW and I think it is probably the ...

Re: Ramblings from a Noob

I'm sure I'm going to get flamed for saying this, but here it goes anyway. I wouldn't put all my eggs in the PyPRP basket. I have a feeling that it will be slow going for the new PyPRP2. Not just that, but Plasma is becoming more and more antiquated with each passing year. Also engines like UDK, SDK ...
