Re: Idea: Play Plasma from another engine
O.o That looks really cool although knowing Unity I worry a bit about performance. I would love to check the code though, to see how you pulled it off.

Just out of curiosity
On http://www.guildofwriters.org/gehn/
it specifically says "canon and high quality fanages".
To start with I don't think the board games ages are canon.
Edit: haven't seen them in a while so I can't comment on quality. (My phone decided my post was done before I could add that.)

Re: Vothol Gallery in MOULa Soon?
Building an age is a far more technical process than making a 3d Model?
Well that's not really relevant to this thread, but it is ( otherwise I wouldn'thave that as my signature :P)
Apart from modelling something (and texturing, lightmapping etc.) you also need some understanding of scripting to ...

Re: Importing Uru Ages into Unreal 4
I don't have experience with Unreal but to get Uru ages into a different engine you basically need to :
1. Use PyPRP importer to import it into Blender 2.49. http://www.guildofwriters.org/wiki/PyPRP_Age_Importer
2. Fix anything if necessary
3. Export it to a format the engine understands. (Unreal ...

Re: Setting up Server Client
Cmake isn't on your path, that isn't a default setting in windows. You can either reinstall/change cmake to include it in your path or follow the instructions for manual setup found here https://github.com/H-uru/Plasma. You may run into more errors though because I don't know whether it can find the ...

Making floors or terrain solid and walkable
This specific part of the request is actually impossible as far as I know. You could reach similar results with flymode, but I'm not sure whether it's possible to enable that one someone else's (external) client and the controls are kinda funky ...

Re: Blender/ 3DS Max VS. Unreal Engine 4 / Unity
Although as a rule, when someone tells you something is impossible in Uru, they only ever mean "really very very hard and long and annoying"... Check this out (especially on page 7).
Except that in this case it would mean either writing some kind of converter from prp to <whatever format the ...

Re: Blender/ 3DS Max VS. Unreal Engine 4 / Unity
Okay, you're confusing various concepts with each other in this question, so I'll explain those so it'll be somewhat clearer to you :)
Game engine: A game engine basically runs the game. It understands how to read a certain format of model and scripts(and possible a certain script language like SL ...

Re: Writing Tips
I'm afraid I can't help you on the textures, except that I agree with the others that the blurry textures are because the game is aged. When studying Cyan ages keep in mind that most of them were made around 2003-2005 and the game was expected to run on a Geforce 2. Technology has moved on :)
