Re: Poems?

Wow, that many?? Might be time for me to get out of the house once in a while... (Anyway, I think several of those are straight copy+paste from US to UK English.)
I can't think of anyone who I could turn to of the people I've met directly, but maybe I can drop a note in the Linux translating ...

Re: Poems?

Good point, about getting a go-ahead from Cyan, but I'd rather ask the original authors, myself...

I don't speak half a word of Portuguese, but that looks like a really great translation - good going!

E-mail notification FTW! I'll just take the opportunity to say that I read your comment, for the record-like, and go have another look.

Poems?

Breath of life, ya?

So, the poems. The ones that were submitted by community members for some contest way back in the day. Should we translate those as well, or just leave them in the original English?

Sounds to me like he says measurements. It's good that you keep an eye (ear?) open, though.

Re: Yeah...but what does it SOUND like? (and more new stuff!

Ah, so THAT'S what's up with those little icons! Cool, though I haven't found myself in any situation yet where I'd need text-to-speech.

The integration of Google Translate is handy, but it seems to break on longer bits of texts - feeding it a journal entry from Kings tends to give the following ...

Re: Journals

That's a good idea, but I think it works well enough if he only 'found notebooks'. I'll go over it again, at least put this in as a comment.

Re: Journals

Gotcha, anteckningar/notebook it is! Now to go ALL the way back and change every occurrence.

[Edit] Aaah! Saying that this made it look loads better doesn't begin to describe it! Of course, this causes a slight predicament in Sharper's journal where he mentions both journals and notes in the same ...

Journals

Another new topic from your friendly translator-demon.

Maybe this is only for swedes, or other scandinavians... How should we translate 'journal'? 'Journal' by itself is only ever used in Swedish in the context of medical journals. Other variants include a kind of schedule, calendar... The kind of ...

Re: Words.

Eh, I'm not on touching terms with most holy scriptures - I'm an atheist (and, well, a supporter of the Flying Spaghetti Monster :D ). Anyway, I think I have this down.
Any improvements or alternate translations to my own are welcome, certainly.
