Great work John!
And nice to have another max:er around here.
I´ve been struggling with trying to get my stuff into Uru through Blender, with lightmaps baked from Max. But it´s quite of a hazzle as for now...but it´s doable.
And by the way - just LOVE Mr Biped standing back there, hoping not to be ...

Re: K'Lotin - a mini age for learning
Thanks for the comments.
@Kato: Yeah, the workflow is far from ideal, I know. But since I think I´ll not be able to learn Blender to the extent I know Max, I´ll stick with Max for now. As for the 2 exports needed - it´s just because I haven´t found a format that supports 2 UV-channels all the ...

K'Lotin - a mini age for learning
Hi all.
After a while struggling with Blender I´m starting to form a decent workflow from 3DS Max...and thought I might show you some pics.
All modelling/texturing/lighting is done inside Max and transfered to Blender via the *.nif format (mentioned by Andy at GoMa) - but I still have to make two ...

Re: Import to Blender 2 UV channels
@Grogyan: Thanx for the help...but I´ve actually no problem getting in ONE (1) UVset on my models...
But I think I´m on to something here - even though it requires two obj-exports (one with the tiled texture UVset, and another one with the lightmap UVset).
- Export two obj's (identical) with ...

Re: Import to Blender 2 UV channels
Hmm...my problem is not yet solved unfortunatley.
I tried the *.nif format (one of teedyo's links) and it´s ok...but it will still NOT import my second UV set.
To see that it´s not my 3DS Max exporters f-ing things up, I imported my model into Ultimate Unwrap 3D - to see that both my UV's are ...

Re: Paint Stencil in 3D view
Ok...I´m new to Blender, so I´m quite confused. Especially regarding the materials and selection of these.
Anyway, I was able to get this to work;
I don´t get the thing about having multiple UV Textures (I assume this is what I as a 3DS Max user refers to as UV coords?) since I want all three ...

Vertex alpha not working any more?
Tried to follow this tutorial, but it´s not working.
http://guildofwriters.com/wiki/Decal_Blending
Is the vertex alpha blending not supported any more (pyprp 1.5.0, Blender 2.48a)?

Re: Paint Stencil in 3D view
No...I CAN paint in the 3D view - just not on the right layer. I must be missing something basic here...I just want to be able to paint on the stencil-layer like I can do in the UV/Image view.

Paint Stencil in 3D view
I´ve followed this wiki http://guildofwriters.com/wiki/GLSL_Stencilling and have some trouble;
When I try to paint my stencil in 3D view I just seem to access/paint the first layer (the base, topmost in the texture list). It works fine if I select the stencil in UV/Image view, and paint ...
