Hey,
I read your story/ idea's on those pictures.
I liked this part:
How about monumental cliffs on all sides (ones which reach up as high as mountains - either there's something special about the light source of the planet of the area, or they have very long nights), save for a couple ravines ...

Re: New project, looking for people
I'm just throwing up the ball to get few enthusiastic people together, for now I don't have any idea on what we are going to make

Re: New project, looking for people
I'd be willing to pitch in ideas. That's mostly all I'm good for (a bit of basic writing, drawing, puzzle design stuff, but not much). I can think up of lots of ideas for Ages (and other things).

Re: Is this allowed?
unfortunately, i want explorers to have multiple weapons to swap through. i'm including a sniper rifle. considering the distance it can shoot, no matter what kind of gun it is, it will hurt.
I guess though that I could change things a bit and say that explorers aren't "hurt" by these types of ...

Re: A Myst-ish picture
In the books, the Cleft is located in either Arabia or Northern Africa Where do the books make any reference to where the cleft is? I just remember "desert" and "volcano", which could be about everywhere...

Re: A few ideas
**Now an observation post overlooking (or with cameras watching) the progress of both would be amusing, especially if you could affect things slightly (like, making different speakers hidden in each side play a recorded sound of things like water lapping or other distinctive noises in the place to ...

Re: A few ideas
Regarding your sound based puzzle: your description got me thinking about a possible co-op thing, where two very similar ages, or sections of a single age, have somewhow gotten "shifted", so that their visual and physical properties have been swapped (either through quantum mojo magic or holograms ...

Re: A few ideas
Given your enthusiastic response, how about a "circle of life" super-age that contains birth, education, wedding, old age, and burial ages? You'd have to complete them all in order to finish the final puzzle.
That would be a wild Age indeed, although I'm not sure why the D'ni would want to do all ...

Re: A few ideas
1. Burial/Execution/Wedding Ages would all be interesting (not all together, although that could make for a very interesting Age if it worked). We have some information about some of those in BoT, right? (at least, a vague mention of burial ones, and perhaps we could infer something about the ...

Re: Vo'Braa: A starship age
Interesting idea! Let's see...
An eccentric man with dreams of the stars wrote an age so he could visit them.
Just to clarify, this is a D'ni man, right (i assume this, but there are other possibilities I know)? And the stars he dreams of - are they Vo'braa's stars in particular (so he's already ...
