Re: 'Boss fights' in Uru...

Well, I'll just continue to take a look at new 'ages' and leave if I don't like it. That's the way I consider new games. Preview, evaluate and make a choice. I'm not interested in the author's motivation for presenting anything. I can hit the 'x' or close the book... I don't attack the author; I ...

Re: Uru redefined! Proposal list - add your own thoughts.

Lots of ideas, problems needing solutions, and solutions needing problems... I really like most of the ideas, and encourage rereading this entire thread. Sarpedon2's ideas are right on, imo. It seems to be a great way to bring newbies into the MYST picture. Perhaps the Village can include 'wall ...

Re: Issues for MMVW Managers

Nalates: I have to 'noodle around' a lot to find information. Found this message from you, and decided to reply directly to this issue. I believe the most difficult problems revolve around the 'control' aspects. It looks (and probably is) very disorganized at this time because we're much like a ...

Re: What the heck is BAD talking about?

Umm./ I think I'm thinking that the discussion going on here is exactly what should be going on, because for me the things being done by many individuals and groups is necessary to make sure that the "ending has not yet been written". In my RL, I worked with many diverse groups consisting of paid ...

Re: Problem With ULM

kah'loukah'lay I'm starting to download the rest of the ULM to my computer. Great stuff in the first three I took a brief look at. Thanks for the information. I now have ULM working very well on my new VISTA 64. A little trouble, but due to my ignorance rather than the system or to advice.

Andy ...

Re: Problem With ULM

That might be it. I just unzipped the no cd-patch and put it in a folder on my desktop. I'm still a newbie with this, and need specific steps to move the nine files from the 'no-cd patch' to the working program file. I did find the cypython22.dll in the URU:cc files...

Re: Problem With ULM

Got ULM down, and ages moved from Public Ages to Books on right side. ULM Settings at http:ulm.hbyte.net. Followed directions for VISTA install. When opened ubisoft no-cd patch and hit 'install' got error: couldn't find application "cypython22.dll". Repeated twice and got same result.

My URU:CC is ...

More ULM install problems

I'm posting here because I need a place to start. I finally had time and $$ to assemble a gaming computer around a Radeon 4870, Extreme QX6850 Quad Core Processor and an Asus P45 PfQ-e mobo, with a Vista 64 os. I loaded and completely rerun the URU:CC and enjoyed it again. Now I'm trying to get ...

Re: Introduce Yourself

KI# 01807516 I've been using computers since Hollerith Cards; took me three months to get a program working to find square roots and cube roots correct to 3 decimal places. I was originally a rocket scientist but wound up in education as teacher and administrator. Found MYST in about '94 and was a ...
