I'm not quite sure I understand you there... I'm very new to age creation, and to be quite honest this is all in theory at the moment. I should probably have a read up on the wiki.diafero wrote:How are you doing the link, i.e. where are you setting up the linking details?

Spawn points
Hopefully this is the right place to ask this...
When I create a Linking book in my Age, I have to specify the Age that I want it to link to (Nexus, Ae'gura, Relto, Myst or whatever), and then I have to specify something called a spawn point; is that right? Is there a simple way to find out the ...

Re: Very unreliable connection
It seems almost trivial to say this, but so many of my computing problems have been caused by something as simple as this before, so I decided I should... If you use a wired network to connect to DI, make sure that everything is plugged in properly and the network isn't giving out, causing you to ...

Re: Panic linking in the Fissure
Thanks, Sirius. Let me just make sure that I know what I'm doing here: the file Personal_District_psnlMYSTII.prp goes in my DI folder, over the top of the file of the same name that's already there, after having made a copy of the original file so that I can restore it in case anything goes wrong ...

Re: Gehn under Linux
Sorry Branan, I've been a bit busy lately...
Should be able to try it out today with a bit of luck.

Panic linking in the Fissure
OK, so I was rushing the First Journey so that I could grab the August sparklie before it disappeared for another year. I finished Gahreesen, Teledahn, Kadish, Gira and Kemo, returned the pillars and jumped into the fissure on Relto... and for some reason, this triggers a panic link and I end up ...

Re: Very unreliable connection
Everything i see leads me to believe it is multiple processors causing the problem, but as it never does the same thing twice it is really tough to tell.
That's interesting... I have a machine that I think has a dual processor (but I'm not totally sure), and I can get practically nothing to ...

Re: Gehn under Linux
Those instructions look horribly familiar... I've tried to use these instructions before, and it completely stuffed up my OS. I had to reinstall. Maybe I did something wrong following the instructions, I don't know.
Anyway, I posted my problem on the Fedora forums today, so I'll see what comes of ...
