Problem with PyPRP2 in Mac OSX

I've downloaded Blender 2.57 and PyPRP2. The option to enable the plasma development environment is there, but not selectable. I saw a similar post a while ago, except that it was for Linux. If it helps, I'm running Mac OSX 10.7.4.
