The problem showed up again today.

I’m aware of the previous thread , but none of the solutions worked for me: the issue shows up only occasionally, so the game files should be good; I have plenty of space on the disk, and it’s not a permissions issue.

The trouble definitely seems to be related to ...

Occasionally I get a “Failed to download one or more files” error at login, and I’m unable to enter. I haven’t seen this error in weeks, but today it was back; others weren’t affected though. I found a possible clue in the patcher.0.elf file:

Setting up to download temp file for ./img/LinkingImage ...

The Explorers Restoration Projects wiki page is still available. I’m not keeping track of who’s doing what these days, so someone closer to OpenUru will have to give it a check.

A couple more data points: installing the Age offline on a freshly installed Uru folder seems to fix the issue!
Unfortunately this doesn’t seem to work with a freshly set-up DI client.

Incidentally, until a few weeks ago I was unable to set up a new client, it would stop while downloading the first ...

Veelay Tsahvahn and Tiam have not been updated since the initial release, so they are missing the Relto pages.

The blue flowers however were a backport from Uru CC, you should get them once you find Rainy Cleft. They’re not a page, they just show up.

Er’cana and Ahnonay require help for one specific action each.

Eder Tsogahl and Eder Delin can be soloed with insanely good timing, but it’s more practical (and fun) to solve them with 6–7 more people.

I’m playing it in (PC)VR. I’m spending way more time just looking around than trying to solve puzzles

Freecam is possible using Universal Unreal Engine 5 Unlocker.

The issue showed up intermittently in past years, sometimes offline too; on DI the age has been stuck like that since last summer.

It’s a bit of a stretch, but is your password longer than 15 characters? Uru’s network protocol has an issue with long passwords, while the forum will accept them fine.

But since you’re using an M chip Apple, have you tried my wrapper ? It should still work, but I don’t have the machine to make ...

The patcher contains 4 files:
Uru.exe
msvcp60.dll
plClientSetup.cfg
serverconfig.ini

Just to make sure, are you certain you’ve replaced the existing ones inside the Uru folder?

If Uru.exe is inside a folder (possibly named “di-patcher”) inside the Uru folder, it won’t be able to find the game ...
