Well spotted Rubyq; missed that bug.
Oh, PLEASE don't fix that whirlpool "feature"! It's a pretty cool place to explore, even if it leads nowhere. Really, overall there's nothing you need to fix. The few places where there are missing colliders don't affect the gameplay. If my vote counts, please ...

Re: The Maintainers Gateway
THANK YOU, Melvin, for another amazing Age!
I haven't progressed as far as Theodore yet, still need to get the underground bridge to move before I can continue. But in the meantime, while looking for an alternative route, I was swimming in the village pool and suddenly found myself walking along ...

Re: Fan Age expedition: Cathedral [spoilers]
What a gorgeous Age!
Thank you, denDwaler, for your vision and perseverance. I know you released this several years ago, but as a relative newcomer to the Deep Island, it's a fresh discovery for me. I've been working my way through the many fan age offerings. Cathedral most definitely caught my eye ...

Re: Lost the September sparkly after a crash
if you are overwhelmed by the number of uploaded fan ages, you can remove them from the (dat) section
Salut, Chameleon! Thanks, but I don't actually have any reason to delete any fan ages. (The more, the merrier!) This whole sparkly issue was due to a corrupted "vault.dat" file, not a problem ...

Re: Lost the September sparkly after a crash
But of course, that is the boring way. ;)
Thanks for the tip, Diafero! And I appreciate all your work on the KI.
Not for me, though, the boring way! Somewhere in the forum (probably in a tip from Annabelle) I stumbled across the trick about changing the date on the computer so it thinks you're ...

Re: Lost the September sparkly after a crash
Thanks so much, Theo! This is just the sort of pointer that I was hoping for!
I will look into downloading PlasmaShop over the weekend when I have a little more time. And just so you can relax... "fiddle" is my middle name.
Sorry, admin folks, if I posted in the wrong place. I see lots of posts ...

Re: Lost the September sparkly after a crash
Sure is a stumper, isn't it!
Anyway, I couldn't leave it alone. I tried restoring (1) the Age.sav file from a July backup; (2) the Personalxxxxx.sav file; and (3) the Personal02xxxx.sav. First one at a time, then all three together. Nothing changed for the sparkly situation.
But I DID notice ...

Lost the September sparkly after a crash
A couple of days ago I picked up the September sparkly for my off-line DI game.
Then in a subsequent session the game crashed with an access violation. On restart would crash again as it tried to launch to relto. I restored an earlier copy of the vault.dat file into my avatar's \sav\xxxxxxxxx ...

Re: Drizzle 32 ! (experimental)
THANK YOU, Sirius & Korovev!
The answer was so OBVIOUS, and I was being totally blind. I think my problem was that, in reading the instructions, my brain insisted on translating "the ages of Myst Online: Uru Live" as "the URU-CC ages", which I already had, so why would I have needed to convert them ...
