Sorry if this has been covered before.
I played Uru CC years ago and recently found out that MOULa was available, so I downloaded the setup files from the Uru site and started playing; great!
I then found out about shards and fan ages and thought it would be swell to be able to explore fan ages as they were created/updated. I also read somewhere about Drizzle and decided to give it a try.
I used Drizzle 30, set the server to the deep-island and started downloading ages, including the latest version of the offline-ki. I made sure to follow the work-around instructions for Windows Vista and above. I am currently unable to get the offline-ki to work.
Since the zipped file downloaded to the agearchives folder, I tried unzipping the files and placing them in the Uru Live directory. I even tried moving the Offline-KI dat files to the user AppData folder using the instructions found here: http://uru.aaron32.net/ . Still no dice.
After reading through several posts here at GoW, I'm beginning to wonder if I'm going about this the correct way.
My questions are thus:
1. Would I accomplish what I want (accessing all available fan ages) by downloading and using the deep-island shard?
2. Is it possible to use Drizzle and the offline-ki with Uru Live or only with Uru CC (and how)?
3. Is it possible to install the offline-ki with Windows 8 (and how)?
4. Is the only difference between using Drizzle and the Deep-Island Shard offline vs. online play?
