MOUL Age expansion

one way that Cyan could make money is to sell a new expansion featuring all the new ages and items from MOUL. That way no one has to hack to add or (illegally) download MOUL files (an fear being arrested). This could also assist Cyan in earning money for whatever they are working on at present.

They could even add some "Bots" to play the roles of some of the characters in MOUL.

Even just including the ages:
1. all the pod ages
2. Eder Toshal
3. Eder Devin
4. Minikata
would be great.

This would be a benefit for those of us who wanted to play MOUL but didn't have the money while MOUL was still alive.

So who thinks this is a good idea to submit to Cyan?

I would love it if they did, but I'm afraid it wouldn't be economically viable.

They can't just package up Moul as it was, because a lot of puzzles aren't solvable. And they can't just make an expansion pack, because there are a number of things the Pots engine doesn't do. And they can't just replace the engine with the expansion pack, because then the Pots Ages won't work.

So, it would take time and money to bring it to market, and based on previous sales, I don't think it would make more than it costs, as small as these costs are.

By the way, and this is important: copyright infringement is a *civil* offence. This means that you can be sued by Cyan, just as your neighbour can sue you over your barking dog. They will have to make their case to the judge against you, and they may not win depending on circumstances/country/luck. It is not a criminal offence, so you will not be arrested. (Unless of course, the judge rules in Cyan's favour, and you refuse to pay restitutions.)

I put up this topic to discuss MOUL being adapted to be an expansion not to talk about Adam and his chicks. Can we please get back on topic.
