Hi there!

Speaking as one of the judges for the competition, it'd be helpful to have some idea of how many Ages are likely to be coming our way.

If we get hit by 20 Ages to inspect in a week, we may have problems ;)

I know that Trylon, Andy and myself are going at it.

As far as everyone else, we may never know, may people just browse forums and not make posts, I was hoping that those would too, try and make something.

I'll make a post next week, to get an idea of how many are trying, as well as organize the uploading of the ages/shells.

Which reminds me, when are the start and end dates?

Er, I think it already started. The end date I saw listed was 9th March. So, going 2 weeks back from that would make the start date, yesterday 2.24.08.

Actually the contest is a little more than two weeks as it started on your Friday, finish date is still the same.

More details on the first post.
Trylon, will you be releasing that contest ULM on Monday? Just in case people finish before the deadline.

To everyone that is competing, can you post here your name or your teams' name, so we have a good idea of numbers taking part, thanks?

Me.

But I have a team. I guess you could call us the Maintainers Team.

Since I was the one to bring up the idea... what about this idea of me being the judge along with the GoW guild councilors(If I don't decide to start my own project before the deadline--not planning one but... you just never know ;))?

I think I'm pretty tough on other people's ages visuals so I think I'd be a pretty good judge. But... please don't make me judge story. :?

Also, a tid-bit from inside PyPRP; We have some scrolling anim stuff programmed into the exporter, it working is a different matter. :P For all you people waiting for it... please don't get too excited about it. Yes it's around the corner yes, but I don't think you should plan to put it in your fan ages for this contest--you might have to do some scrabbling to get it in before the deadline's up. We're working on it night and day(kinda). :P

Why not have more than one judging team? I think the Writers and the Maintainers can both bring in a different perspective to judging the Ages. :) Perhaps each team of judges can critique the Ages, compare notes, and then pick a winner. I think this will help dissolve any favorites that might crop up (not that anyone is prone to this), as you'll have 2 different perspectives.

I won't be judging, as I have an entry that I am working on myself.
