Because things were not said directly to me from RAWA, and because the entirety of what I would like to post was on a forum whose membership I value greatly, I will not divulge the entirety of the conversation but will say this:

The opening of the cavern is just a first step. It was the first thing that Cyan could do with the resources that they have, and that their next target is the release of the source code, but it's not known when that is. Watson's post at the DRC site that included

Or I could have gone the Yeesha/Zandi route and told you all a cryptic riddle that when solved implied that the Called have started returning to the Cavern and strongly hinted that more would likely be returning very soon.

They did know that we wouldn't be expecting their "soon" to be this soon and that it probably won't be again.

Seriously, finally having a Shard in public is a huge and necessary step to keep the fan base, though it's not the only possible one. Let's hope those amazon servers are not too crashy - from the IP addresses, it looks like MOULagain is hosted in the Amazon AWS Cloud (just like MQO)

Cyan has made clear that OS Uru is still on the horizon.. Just how close or far this horizon is is anyone's guess...

Looks like the servers are down again. Had finally gotten the patcher to finish this morning. So it loaded the game and was at the update screen, it eventually timed out. And now the patcher is not connecting to the servers, so I would say their down again.
