After my previous ranting, it's kind of odd that I find myself surprised at being overcome with warm and fuzzy feelings, just over simply seeing names attached to the the project. I suppose it helps that they are names whose bearers I greatly respect, but still...
I understand that some will, apparently, feel... less warm, seeing those names, but what can you do...

@Tweek: Dare one at all hope, that this is not among your shelved items?

@Branan: Couldn't think of a better man to be the spokesperson for any group. Stay classy.

@Kaelisebonrai: Aah, yes. The huge floor patterns is indeed where texture size becomes the most obvious, even with anisotropy (kind of ironically) masking it a little.

Everything is shelved, more or less. I've been done with Myst/Uru and the community for a fair while now. The only project still being continued is Kehrahn and that is an on going project with my wife.

I drop by the GoW now and then to keep up with development tools as I still build things. Just not Myst related things.

Sad to see you worn down, Tweek, if that is your motivation.
Your departure is a loss to all of us, but you must do what is best for you.

I wonder how many people has lost their connection and left, through time alone...

EDIT: Also: SSSSSSssssssssssssssss!

Yeah, it's a real pity that Tweek isn't doing anything uru-related anymore. The work he did for UA (way back before it was "Uru Again", in the days when it was based on Until Uru) was truly incredible.

In other news, we got a wonderful concept artist because of this thread, and they're hard at work turning our crazy ideas into something the modeler can work off of.
