It's clear to me now that people are going to just do what they want, simply because they can, regardless of whose feelings get hurt, regardless of the consequences, regardless of what justifications are made for or against their actions, regardless of anything. I cannot stop anyone here from doing anything, nor can I say anything to make a difference anymore.

Why, and how, can one be so careless towards Cyan Worlds? After everything they've done for us?

Wow, you do live in your own head. Welcome to the real world. Is this the first life lesson you ever had?

Cyan Worlds is a company. Notice the period. They are not some god like beings who bless us with their games. They, right now, are focused on making money to keep their business running. That has always been their goal. They are not worried about their canon for this game, because guess what? Only they can decide what is canon and what is not. They own the IP, they make the rules and story.

No one who has made a fan age, or added content from another game has ever effected the canon of Uru without Cyan's approval, and no one will. It's only possible that someone could if Cyan either released their IP for public consumption, or they lose their rights some other way.

This is why your arguments are stupid. You don't bother to learn anything about the law, or about copyrights in general. You come on to forums and complain that we all are ruining this community with our adding of outside content, but you don't even realize that that content doesn't become official canon and could never be without Cyan's direct approval.

We have told you this information dozens of times, but you ignore it and create a circular argument to keep this discussion going. If that isn't trolling, than I don't know what it is. What I do know is that your ignorance is disruptive on every forum you spout this crap on.

I have to hand it to you all who have infinitely more patience than I, these guys have always seemed to me to be frauds and yet you take the time to play their games.

I wish it could have been resolved to your satisfaction, I really do. But I also want to do this for other people. So at best, I can make it like a Relto Page, and allow people to easily have it or not have it, based on their preferences and convictions. Unfortunately, you want more than that: you want no-one to have it, and I can't agree with that in this case.

It may interest you to know that I was in negotiations to become the de-facto exclusive distributor of Hexisle, and if I had liked the price, *I* would have become the party most affected by the salability of Hexisle, and I can assure you, that I would have been better off with Drizzle converting it, as that is the one thing giving it salability at this point. As it is, this fellow will probably have to sell the copies in bulk at much much less than $1/unit, if he can sell them at all. (He has 20,000 units, and games that won't sell are less than worthless, as the opportunity cost of dedicating shelf space is large.) If anyone is interested in buying some number of copies from him (Right now he wants $10/unit for bulk orders, and if you just want a single copy, he can accomodate you. He will ship internationally.), please let me know, and I'll get you in touch with him.

you really need to announce this every where, I've had a lot of people ask me about getting copies of Hex Isle.

When debating from a defensive position, it is all too easy to become entrenched. If you don't mind, I would ask you to please quietly reread this thread in a week or two, when the sniper fire has died down and the pressure is off, preferrably with slightly different dogma-to-logic ratio goggles. I'm not saying "revive it", just read.
