The fog works fine for me. I was quite happy to find new contents in this Age :) . Did you modify the Maze or is it me who got lost... again ?

However, there is some kind of problem...

Karkadann, I can not tell whether it works properly since only you know how "properly" looks like :D

@Sirius: The linking responder he uses is a kBasicLink, which on Alcugs does not leave any traces in the database (except maybe for the KI going nuts). That's why I gave up asking people not to use them, and changed the dataserver checks to only reject non-kBasicLink linking responders in fan ages.
But you are right, using the xLinkMgr is the better solution. It will always use the proper linking settings.
I prefer e-mails to "diafero arcor de" (after adding the at and the dot) over PMs.

Karkadann, the Walking Maze is really wonderful and of a great quality ... the fog is beautiful
and serving its purpose perfectly and the background sound is atmospheric and calming while
wandering those paths ... That glowing something is fun and magical and I like the idea of
the sound indicators ...

And Wam, you better go there too or did you already? 8-)

Yeah, great job, Karkadann, with this and your Relto pages et al. ... :)

Thank you, everyone

I was wondering what instance meant I just assumed it was the age I was linking from, using responders to link is a bit easer but I just got done texturing a book so Im gonna try to use a linking book next.
Also as many times as I been threw this maze I still get lost with out

as I recall the fog did not work properly in the Live Shards, possibly because your linking into a region instead of walking into one so I set the linkin point out side of all the regions exept the footsound regions, (forgot that one)

I did have some excellent and unusual inspiration, so im a cant take all the credit for this one, Cyan was a big help. The tutorials and help I get from the community forums so I guess in a way everyone can take credit, althought the fog was inspired by the fiasco in D'ni's Toccota ally when Randi Millers visited us on his Birthday, the caverns where getting weird the arch was walking around by itself and the fog kept on changing colors

Yes, there is fog, and I hope it is the right one :)

Changing the fog color over time "just" requires some python scripting. Then nothing is impossible :)

the xLinkMgr does not show up on the python drop down list, although their is a xLInkingBookGUIpopups and a UAMVar-LinkingBook pythons that I was curios about, although im not sure how to use them

changing the fog color might be interesting if you have the time to write the python assuming I can figure it out I mostly do structures coding is a bit out of my league all I know is basics

It's an import file. Those never show up in Max. You need to import it from within your own Python file.

I was looking threw the linking book tutorial and I was kinda hoping their was a short cut, I tried attaching a linking responder to a GUI popup but I could never get that working. with the exception of seeing the GUI popup as your linking out. I hope the linking book is not as complex as it seems.

Changing the fog color shouldn't be that hard... Negilahn does that all the time, and I think D'Lanor used it in Prad.
I managed to re-use it in another Age (to have a day/night cycle). It wasn't working perfectly, but I didn't know a lot about Python by the time.

It shouldn't be too hard to create a wrapper for the xLinkMgr that can be selected in Max, which gets that target age and spawn point from the parameters. The only problem is that I don't have Max available and have no idea where it gets that Python information from ;-)
Did I understand you correctly that you can choose a PythonFileMod to be triggered just like a linking responder? If yes, I could try to write such a helper (and I'd need you to test it, Karkadann), and include it with the next Offline KI.
