Last night I had a very interesting dream, and I wondered if it was possible...
Note: some of it's been changed to make more sense.
I dreamed that URU was gone, and it was like, 2 years after the second cancelation of MOUL... Now, in the dream, apparently we at the GoW had come up with the answer to the question "what do we do now that MOUL is gone" and, well someone had the Idea to create a whole new online game. When you link in, you appear in your own personal library. Now, when a person first got their account, their library was bare, except for a desk in one corner, a cozy carpet, and a homey feeling. Now, people in this game could add to their Library, by creating objects in blender. Before it's incorperated into the game, it must first be approved by the GoMa, who decide if it's good enough (not to act all rude and say "that's not good enough" but to make sure that it doesn't turn out like There or Second life, where the unrealistic objects and places ruin the flow of the game) and once it's oked, the person would get it added to their library. My library particularly was full of books, had a crackling fireplace, and a few framed photos and paintings on the walls. Now, all the bookshelves are full of books made by explorers, and there are public, and private places. Now, each age goes through a process of examining by the GoMa, who played ages people submitted to them, Oked or disaproved them, and if they were good enough, the textures seamless, the lighting realistic, and doesn't look like a novice did it, it would be added to the game. ages that were disaproved could either be sent to other writers with more experience, and "fixed", completely dumped, or the writer could gain more experience and make it a better age. Non age writers could simply join, to see the vast aray of new ages, ever flowing into the game.
I know people always say "URU is not about the new content, episodes, or places, but is about it's community, it's people" but I must disagree... URU's community is very important, but if we're explorers, we should be able to explore... not explore a few places, and then know where everything is, and hang out there... that works for awhile, but at some time or annother it gets a bit dull, and people begin to leave. This game wouldn't be blocked by money problems, and it would be focused on endless exploring, and hanging out in the wonderful ages that the writers write.
Now, I'm not techie, and I know absolutely nothing about if the would work, and if so, how... so I was wondering, Would this be possible? and if so, would you like it?
