A Note about the Guild of Writers Forum

Postby greendragoon » Sun Apr 13, 2008 9:34 am

When I first came to the GoW forums, my first thoughts were "Yikes, there are to many features. Why can't this be simpler like the MOUL forum." Bare with be here. More recently though with the closure of the cavern, I've been spending more time on the various Uru forums, and now when I head over the the MOUL forum, I tend to think, "Man, where's my 'Read First Unread Message' button. I wish the MOUL forums had some of the features of the GoW forums have."

My rambling point is that I wanted to say Thank You for all the wonderful work you admins have done with this site. And I'm sure you will continue. :D

As Long as there is MORE,
I will explore.
And as long as my Relto shelf is unfilled,
I will build.

I agree this site is really well set up. I just gotta say, tho ... the MOUL forum has "View posts since last visit" ... the same thing, essentially, as "View New Messages" on this board. Their search feature makes me a little nutso, tho.

MOUL Forums = phpbb2
GoW Forums = phpbb3

Going to be some differences there ;)

Am I allowed a quick feature request?

On the GoMa forum, the 'View active topics' and 'View new posts' are available wherever you are, even when looking through a thread.

I really miss this when I come over to the GoW forum. Any chance to add this functionality?

Thanks.
