 That looks awesome! The cave is well modeled, the pervasive red underlighting is cool, that lava down there moves, right? I'm liking the new caves already! 8-)

I'm reminded of Gandalf in Moria... with that little bridge over the chasm.. "You shall not pass!!" :D

Yep it moves! Just....not.....in the right direction......yet.

I've yet to figure that out. I told the texture to move on the X axis, as that's how the long side of the plane is lined up. And I checked, the Local and Global X axis match. yet when you link in, it's flowing on the Y axis!

Makes no sense, as I didn't rotate the plane or anything like that. I told it to move on the Y axis and now it's moving just fine........along the X axis like it's suppose to.....er.......whatever.....as long as it's moving the right way.

Moria eh?

Hmmmmm.......Jishin has 3DSMax.....I wonder if I could have her make me a Balrog (would D'ni it be spelled B'ahlrog?) statue......then make it slide towards you... .hehhehehehe

That's very impressive. :) There was a scene described in The Book of Atrus on the path from the surface to D'ni that this reminds me of.

You seem to have been more productive than me lately. I took me all weekend to model a hatch.

I can't wait to see it! :D

By the way, I think the x and y offset refer to the UV map, not the local or global x and y. So if your looking at the UV Texture window, manipulating the x offset will move it left or right, and y will move it up and down.

I'm sure they would have called it a Bahro'rog. Beside isn't a Balrog just a 30ft Bahro on fire?

Disclaimer: I'm in no way suggesting we should start setting Bahro on fire.

Greendragon is correct about the mapping. If you move the uv coordinates in the UV editor window up vertically, and watch which way the texture moves in the 3D view, that is the direction it will move if you give it a positive Y offset animation.

It astounds me how quickly your picking this all up, i'm still at modelling complex geometric objects (my shell), lightmaps are still aways yet, let alone animated water.

I like it A LOT! :D

Thanks guys!

In all fairness, I was doing 3D modeling as far back as 1998, when I started with 3D Bryce. So even though I just started Age Creation back in November, All I really had to get used to was Blender's interface as far as modeling goes.
