Hi there, I asked this before, but, it was buried in another topic, so, I thought I'd bring it out into the light a bit...

I'm looking for a copy of KIRC, I don't mind that it doesn't work for PotS, that can be solved, eventually, I'm also curious about this "offline UU patcher" and a way to get a full KI, offline. The link to KIRC at cobbs.ca doesn't work, it links to huru.aegura.com if i remember correctly, if it does, that link is dead, and aegura.com is an empty index... =/

What the heek is "KIRC" does it have anything to do with star trek?

KIRC is a KI IRC (internet relay chat) it allowed the chat feature on the old Live KI to be respecced as a client for an IRC channel so people could chat whilst exploring.

So which one do we download on the list of different KIRC downloads? I saw several different downloads on the list...


Can someone explain how this Online KI is used in the offline version?

You need the UU KI first, copy over the files from a fresh Prime install and change the version on them, or try to the Alcugs patcher.

Then install the KIRC v1.22 patch.

Now, I first installed Uru Ages Beyond Myst, then TPOTS expansion pack, will this still work or am I in a stuck position right now until the program is fixed?

You need to patch the KI to enable the full UU KI. You will need files from the original ABM installation.

Which should still be in my Uru folder after installing POTS correct?

No, the KI files for PotS are not the same as the UU/ABM files.
