.prp files.... disappearing?

I keep exporting an age, and everytime I tried to link in, it would tell me files are missing, when I see which ones its ALWAYS the prp files. So I decided to have Uru in one window and the dat folder in another. As soon as I start Uru and it begins loading, the prp files than delete themselves, is there an personal age limit or something I should know about. Because this is driving me crazy.

Sounds like a .sum issue. Try using PlasmaShop to resum your age.

PlasmaShop SUMing doesn't work for me usually.

Use UruFun.

I would link you, but I can't find the mirror.

EDIT: If you have a COBBS account, here's a hosted version http://www.cobbs.ca/bbs/attachment.php?attachmentid=132&d=1127406870.

There is a link to it on the wiki Free_and_useful_tools_to_help_in_Age_writing

A bad sum file merely gives an error and makes you quit. I believe when prp files are actually deleted there is a sequence prefix conflict. Does your age have a unique sequence prefix?

Make sure that the file versions match the game version. IIRC Uru: ABM will delete PotS files.

I never had any problems with using PlasmaShop to create sum files

Disappearing prps are usually a result of a sequence conflict, as D'Lanor said. But it can also be caused by a page number conflict. If you have two pages with the same index number, Uru will delete the newest one. (Why it deletes this one and not the oldest one makes no sense to me. But neither does a lot of things Uru does).
