Genesis Announcement

Greetings and Shorah, fellow writers!

I am sure that most of you have heard of Genesis (glotesmahrn in D'ni), an Age built up by skilled artisans on the dreams of the explorers of Uru.
The point of the project is to get people INTERESTED again, and to so do the project is going to have a lot happen to it - a new poll each week, progress reports in the newsletter, and (and this is the important bit) support from the Guilds.
This Age is, in fact, very much like the "Showcase Age" project that rose up in these forums. I did not know about that project and neither did quite a few explorers...the project itself can be assumed more or less dead. I wish to pick up where that left off. It had some key flaws in it's creation, but the concept around it was perfect! An Age to show off what we can do? GREAT! An Age to show of what we HAVE done? AWESOME!! An Age to encourage people to show us what they could do? STUPENDOUS!!!

The point is that most Ages do not get beyond conceptualization - there are countless "I have this great idea..." threads around. I do not mean to say that they are bad ideas, but many never get carried through. And so, I would like to invite you all to throw all your best ideas at this, to show us what you can really do. Please note, this is NOT a "Hey guys, I have a great idea" thread - this is a "Hey guys, tell me your ideas and let's see where we can go from there!" thread.

Because from there we can draw plans, make maps, make 3DSMax models, and then from there...an Age.
So, Writers of the Guild...here is a paper, here is a pen.

The showcase age is being discussed as the Council is reorganizing. I know it's hard to be patient with MORE (supposedly) right on the horizon, but the facts are that Cyan may be a year away from having it ready for our use with the limited staff on hand.

So lets not push things to hard. Once the Council has regained it's footing, things are going to change around here. Hopefully for the betterment of the whole Guild.

Good to hear, BAD.
If the Showcase Age does get back off of the ground I would be very happy to lend my arm in the venture - even perhaps drop Genesis or merge it into the Showcase Age, depending on how far along both projects are. As it is, I will be trying to help out the ERC age as much as I can; to see just how far we can get with making beautiful ages.
