I just thought of something...

With the new update from drizzle that lets us put Myst V/full MOUL ages into Uru, it got me wondering something. Do you think now we will be able to successfully convert the global clothing prp files, and put them on a new page in the global clothing.age file from Uru CC? By doing this we could get the explorers jersey, guild shirts, etc.
Is it possible?

No. Drizzle, like PyPRP and other Uru related programs, doesn't support clothing and avatars, these are directly tied to the character rigging, which very little is known about how it really works. Chogon has hinted that its possible they may open up the character rigging for us to work with to create our own custom clothing and avatars, but until that happens we don't really have enough info on these subjects to be able to convert stuff from MOUL to Uru.

libPlasma appears to have full support for clothing-classes.

So basically if you can live without anim conversion (I think the conversion for this is iffy) you can say goodbye to Drizzle for MOUL > CC conversion and just use the "pageconvert" program included in the libPlasma SVN.

Without anim conversion Uru refuses to load the files

It writes the animation classes themselves, but can't convert the plControllers and hsKeyFrames, making all of the anims invalid and un-loadable.

I suppose that's next on the agenda for libplasma
So will rigging be included in libplasma or PyPrp for that matter?

Well... rigging is a very complex thing (in lots of ways). For avatars, they have a special armature system but its use is hardwired into the exe--you can't use this for anything except the avatars IIRC.
Yeah, rigging will get implemented into PyPRP at some point.

Plus with the problem with PageConvert for libPlasma lies in the page numbers and age sequences. Which were drastically changed in some places for MOUL. (The GUI.age for instance) as well as several MOUL ages sharing sequence prefixes with CC. To much needs to be done to make it a replacement for Drizzle. (Which now covers all versions of Plasma except 1.0)

Too bad Drizzle eats my mem like there's no tomorrow (I have 512 mbs and I can't even get though large M5 prps without having to use lots of swap).

libPlasma actually doesn't support Live.4 or lower

... Nor some of the very strange old builds that float around.

It's Java. It has huge overhead, buy more RAM.

There is also an executable jar for Drizzle, as well as a batch file to launch the jar with. The batch file and executable take in account low ram systems.
