Guild of Writers

We are looking for three people from the Guild of Writers to serve on the judges panel for the upcoming 3rd Rapid Age Development contest. The qualifications for being a judge are below:

• You have the technical savvy to manually download explorer-created ages and successfully explore them in URU (e.g. via Uru Library Manager).*
• You can objectively review each age, citing its strengths and weaknesses.
• You will be available to review these ages during the judging period (22-28 November).
• You have not been a judge in the previous RAD contest. (We want to give others the chance to judge.)
• You are not planning on being a contestant in this contest.

*NOTE: You will not be able to download the ages through ULM - that's the reason for this condition.

The first three qualified people to volunteer (by responding to this post) will be our GoW judges.

Just saw that the same rules apply for the Maintainers. It seems only fair that these should apply to Cyan as well.

Our GoW portion of the judging panel is now complete. At this point, there's not much to do for the judges until after the contest finishes on 21 November.

In the meantime, I recommend reviewing the rules and scoring system for the contest, and make sure that they are clear. One thing that hasn't been established is, what happens when an entry violates one of the rules? If you have any thoughts on this or general questions, feel free to post them here.

You can also get in contact with the Maintainer judges (a similar post can be found here on the GoMa forums) and work out among yourselves how you want to set up a discussion for the submitted ages: via private forum, chat session, or whatever makes the most sense.

Oh shoot, I didn't have internet at home over the weekend Oh well, maybe next time. Is there a way I can still view the ages during the judging period without actually being a judge?
