Crowthistle Ages?

Postby kaelisebonrai » Mon Jan 26, 2009 6:30 am

Hi all, does anyone know where one can obtain the Crowthistle ages? I've had a look around, but, come up with nothing. =/

It also appears the version of the Well of Tears that contained the Ages is no longer being produced. =/

I found mine here for fairly cheap. They are new copies of the hardcover edition. so they should have the disk, mine did.

Be warned though that if you have Vista Crowthistle will most likely crash at startup with a stack error. I haven't heard of any successful attempts to run it under Vista yet. Fortunately you can still convert it with Drizzle and use it in Uru: CC, although some features will be lost.

Thanks for the info, D'Lanor.
Here you can download a Patch for this problem (I tested it with Win7Beta so I think, it works with Vista, too).
A Readme-file is included.

The word "vegetarian" has an Indian origin and can be translated as: "the one who is too dumb to hunt".

Thanks, that works like a charm!

But just to be sure I edited the settings with UruFun and reduced the resolution to 1440x900. 1680x1050 is not supported on my laptop. Not sure if it matters because it seems to default to 800x600 anyway.

Edit: Oh cool, when I edit "Graphics.Windowed" and set it to true Crowthistle always picks my desktop resolution. That is sooo much better than 800x600. :D

Ok, I change the download adress in my previous posting and the file is now permanent available.

I couldn't figure out where on earth this patch originated from, and then I realized it was the exact same as the Myst V vista patch. What exactly are these files and what do they do (they obviously aren't normal ini files, and they have no obvious header)?
