Recently quite a few writers have realized that there are quite a number of lone wolf designers and age builders out there who lack, or wish to improve their skills in a certain area of age development.
Also, many have to shorten their ideas to make them achievable under their current abilities and disciplines.
the AGE project (Assisted Group Engagement) will use a board of interviewers to to read applications, interview age builders, and assign them with a peer of higher or lower skill... Each pairing will then be assigned to a team, and each team will be composed of a pair from each discipline (modelers, texture artists, programmers, and designers). The best part about this program is that even if you are an expert in one discipline, the AGE program will allow you to pick up skills in the other disciplines as well.
This is currently an idea being tossed around the guild and we would like your input... would you be willing to help/get help from other designers and artists to help heighten your skills and allow ages to be produced more efficiently?
We are not envisioning this like a classroom, more like a casual mentor program... Teaching and also learning from the others in your group.
AS ALWAYS, participation in this project is VOLUNTARY... and you work at your own pace.
Work is currently underway for the interview and selection process for the project... Although this thread is only to get the response of the community.
Please answer the 3 following questions in your post... Would you be willing to learn new skills? Would you be willing to teach others new skills? and would you be willing to work on an age with a small team?
