Questions and Opinions

Greetings, fellow Myst and or Uru players/writers.
I had a few questions and Would like your general opinion on them.
if this topic is misplaced then please redirect it to it's right thread or area.
I am 18 Years old, live in Holland and I am currently following a Film and Photography career on my school, and I almost completed it without any hassle since everything was very easy for me. [I'm a man of bits and bytes.]
I've been into computers for a long time and I have played every single Myst game there is.
For almost 3 years I have been studieng and training myself in 3dsmax. You can see some of my work in the Showcase under ''Dolschen Drc Cavern's..''
If you have seen those videos and pictures, you might see what I am capable of doing with max right now.
I really got inspired with Uru but Myst has never let me down neither. Most of you might know what I mean when I talk about Revelation, or Exile. The ambience is just making you whirl spin and shiver when playing the game.
I have tried and experienced with Plasma and Python But these programs really don't grip on me. I'll have to wait for the Max plugins to use them to import ages more easier into Uru:Ages Beyond Myst.
So in the meantime, I have wondered and brainstormed about making more ages and projects for Myst Revelation or Myst III: Exile. Not things to implent within the game, but creating completely new content.
My problem is, that I have no Idea how to program. I can really make renders like they did, I just need some more time for it to get my hand on compositing things. I have so much Idea's I would love to share with every Myst or Uru fan out there and Mix the games a bit. Legally, of course.
I'm not talking about programming like they do in hardcore gaming, like Uru. That's way to much to do on my own now. I meant like point & click with 3d rendered Video's in between them aswell. Youk know what I mean, fully rendered 360 degrees images and video sequences of them in between. I have experimented with it but it is just to much for me at this moment. I am more into 3dsmax and thinking about backstories and how things go.
So, to make things short, is there anybody who can tell me or give me advice on where to start if i would want to make a mini Myst: Revelation or Exile. Or just give me some information on how they did it with the point and click moves. I know Revelation was fullly rendered in the external render for max and that is Vray. Which is beautifull because I own a version of that as well.
Hope to have made my statement a bit, and sorry if it doesnt make any sence. I'd just thought I need some feedback on this all.
Best regards From Holland,
John
