Is it possible to have an age installed and not have it show up in the Nexus? and if so how does one remove it from the Nexus?

Also, Is it possible to add locations to "City Locations" "Private Links" and "Pubic Links"? And if So How?

Thanks for any and all help

Changes to Cyan Ages such as the Nexus should be avoided if possible. However, if you want an Age to not show up because it is meant to be linked to from another Age of yours, then Diafero can make it so for the next Offline-KI. If you want it to be ready in time for your Age's release, best to let him know the Age name now ;)

Its not in regards to an age being made, just some things I am looking to do in my offline install. Customization if you will.

Then yes, you can hide an Age by editing the .inf file.

"City Links" and "Private Links" can not be changed (well, unless you edit the python file manually). However, the other two categories are described by the AvailableLinks.inf file, see http://alcugs.almlys.org/Offline-KI/Tec ... umentation . To prevent an age from being automatically added, just add a line saying "link:<age filename>,<age display name>". If you want to hide an existing age, replace the "restaurationlink:" with "link:". This is overwritten on the next upgrade though.

Thanks for the info.
If I did want to edit the python file which file/files is it that I would have to edit?

As for it being over written, I always keep a copy of my edited files so if I do a re-install, or upgrade Offline Ki, I can just copy my edited files over (Or in soe cases so I know what to edit in case I cant copy them copying them)

This is about the nxusBookMachine.py - however, keeping that in sync with my changes will be hard, you basically have to re-do the whole procedure (unpack, decompyle, edit, compyle, pack) after each upgrade.

Well, you might end up missing updates to that file I am doing then.

Well I usually make new copies of my edited files after each Offline Ki release, and that doesn't happen all that often So I don't think I have missed anything yet.

Also while on the subject of editing books and files, is there a way to add pages/links to the books on the upper shelf in Relto? And if so how? (Thought I doubt it will be as easy as updating the bottom shelf lol)

There is a way to do almost everything, but in this case it's a pain. The file controlling all this is psnlBookshelf (or similar), and it's absolutely horrible code. "Normal" books for just one age are fairly simple, though you have to understand how the global linking book definitions and the Shelf work together, which is not easy or simple. Books for several ages (only city and pods currently) are just horrible, which is the only reason why the Myst V Myst does not register in the Myst book.
