WhoM: Who's Online for MOUL

I originally announced this on the MOUL forum, but I understand that not everyone frequents it, so I'm reposting it for everyone's benefit ;)

WhoM is a "Who's Online" program for MOULa. Currently, it displays the online status of your Buddies, Neighbors, and "Recents." It will also pop up notifications when a buddy logs in (you can disable this or even enable neighbor login pop ups), add new buddies by KI number, and allow you to delete buddies and recents.

WhoM's vault interactions have been tested rigorously and will not corrupt the vault, so please do not worry about damaging the servers. WhoM places little load on the MOULa server because it never actually links you into any ages and only requests data related to your Buddy list, Neighbors list, and Recent list.

Please report any bugs you find and enjoy! I also welcome feature requests. I enjoyed writing this application and would like to continue to add things :)

Thx for announcing it here. I'm one of those people who don't read the MOUL forums.
It's a very useful little tool. :)
No installation required, only ectract and start it. I love those tools. Runs fine under Win7 64bit.

Seconded on the Linux version! I can go months without booting into my XP install.

WhoM is C#, and relies on a native DLL for some SSL stuff. I don't think anyone has gotten it working under Linux or Mac.

Hopefully I'll be able to get buddy and neighbour lists working in Pidgin by the end of the month for us Linux people :)

It ain't gonna happen with WhoM 1.0 (the registry code == death). I'll do a better job with Mono/Linux compatibility in WhoM 1.1. If you would like to get that far:

Code: Select all
apt-get install libssl-dev
(Copy /usr/lib/libcrypto.so to the WhoM directory and rename it to libeay32.so)
mono WhoM.exe
