Cool!
Your experimentation has given me the motivation to start hacking again.
I have something interesting in the works.

I hope you will publish a tutorial to get more people started.
BTW, how did you do the lighting in your secret room?

I sure plan to -haven't quite finished it all yet
BTW, how did you do the lighting in your secret room?

Bit of vertex paint is all.. plus the existing Bevin lighting of course

Ok here's my recipe for cooking up my take on the hood secret room.
This is an extension of my Spyroom mod (http://forum.guildofwriters.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=4814&start=10) and adds a link to one of the books in the meeting room. The link takes you to my version of the Hood Secret Room.
I've divided the recipe into two parts, each part has an accompanying zip file, and in the first part there is a choice of two options.

Part One: Meeting Room

If you already tried the spyroom mod using SpyroomMod_rev02 you need to add the linking book with this file:

If you're starting from scratch This is the file for you:

Part Two: Secret Room

1. You may want to back up some files:
    Neighborhood.sum
    Neighborhood_District_nb01.prp
    Neighborhood_District_Textures.prp

2. In PlasmaShop, navigate to Neighborhood Age, click on 'Neighborhood_District_nb01.prp' and open PrpShop. Once there open 'nb01'.

3. Right click on nb01 and choose Import.. navigate to the folder containing the unzipped files. Open the folder called Files and import the contents.

4. A total of ten objects need to be added to the Scene Node:
    ScrtRomCollider
    LinkInPointSecret
    ScrtRmBox01
    ScrtRmBox02
    ScrtRmDoor
    ScrtRmDoorFrm
    ScrtRoom
    ScrtRoomFloor
    SpeechAptCamera
    SpeechAptCamRegion

5. Seven objects needs to be imported into 'Textures'. Right click and choose Import.. Navigate to the folder called Mipmap and import the files it contains.
From the main file menu choose Save.

6. Delete or update the .sum file in PlasmaShop

7. Copy the 'Neighborhood.pak' file from the unzipped 'Python' folder to your Uru install's 'Python' folder

That's it! :P

OK this modifies the files for Bevin and can also be used to modify Kirel (MOUL), DRC (Phil's) and Seret (MOUL). Will you be adding linking books to each of the other secret rooms though??

OK - I will go ahead and modify those Nieghborhood files. and double check for problems. there might possibly be an orientation problem with the room in Kirel
