I simply cannot get any ages to play through my copy of URU Complete chronicles.

I am able to create them and everything no problem (the look great on blender!) and even make the new linking book show up..

but when I click on the linking picture to my age (or even the func check age) I am unable to link!

I CTD.

What?!!!

Could somebody please help me..I've kept up and downloaded all the latest tools..files..etc. and tried this on 3!! computers. Nothing seems to help.

So maybe you will. :)

-THX Talon

This happened on one of my ages. Though I haven't fixed the problem, I've heard that occasionally Blender creates "ghost" objects that crash Uru when exported. To fix it, you have to copy everything in your age into a new .blend file.

Ok...problem solved-thx Drakmyth

But now there is a new problem, one I think I have a potential solution for, yet I would like a little reassurance :)

I've created new textures etc. for my ages, and applied them to the objects etc. using the UV deal.

They look fine in BLENDER, but when they show up in CC only a few show up...

I researched this and found that you must make sure that a "Material" is assigned to each textured object.

So:
A. How have I assigned "materials" to some, and not to all?
B. How do I assign "materials" to all of the objects in the age?

Thx X2 :)

Tallonex:

Take a look at the write-up of materials and texturing on the Alcugs wiki:

http://alcugs.almlys.org/wiki/index.php/AgeTexture

Hope this helps.

I amaze myself how the answer is always just a click away...and now I have pretty much the majority of the advanced tutorials of the wiki on my hardrive for my own reference...just to double check things if they get messed up again. Thank you Robert.

BTW...I have been using textures from different free texture packages etc. or photoshoping new ones or both... yet I would really enjoy taking my own pictures and using them as textures.

What kind of (digital) camera do you recommend? Could I use my Olympus 8 MP?
(The reason I ask that I don't want them to be so grainy..many of the textures I have used from images in the past have looked horrible on the first try [I got em looking better with a little TLC :)] so I would like to not reproduce that problem.)

Thx
