Hi, everyone! I really enjoy playing all the fans ages, but I’m not sure how to play offline. I usually play on the Deep Island shard. I’m not very tech savvy and just use trial and error to figure things out. I played a lot a few years ago and just recently came back, but I can’t remember exactly how I set everything up. I got up and running again and I tried to reset a few ages so I could start from scratch but it didn’t seem to work. Can someone explain how to play offline? Then I don’t have to worry about other people’s progress. Any help is greatly appreciated!

how to setup an off line installation is described in the wiki.

https://www.guildofwriters.org/wiki/Playing_Fan_Ages

If you have the zipfile from a fan age then first unzip it , it will contain several directorys
Every directory will have a few files inside.
the directorys are named
dat, SDL, Python and sfx
inside your installation you will see directory's with the same name.
you need to combine them.
in other words everything inside the "dat" folder goes into dat
everything inside SDL goes into SDL and so on.
That is all what you have to do.
Happy exploring!

If the Age is on the UAM database (most of them are), you can use Drizzle (you can ignore the “Releasing an age via UAM” part) to do all the unzipping and checking for updated versions.
