I went to export the age, but I keep getting an error. And after checking the python console, I noticed it thinks I have Python 2.5.2, but I know I upgraded... :?
I tried reinstalling all the PyPRP/Python stuff, but there's no difference. Any suggestions?

My suggestion downgrade back to 2.5.2.

I think I remember reading someplace that Pyprp or blender or something didn't like Python 2.6. I could be wrong or it could have been remedied by now.

It depends on your Blender version.

Blender 2.49 = Python 2.5.
Blender 2.49a and higher = Python 2.6

So you can either downgrade Python or upgrade Blender.

I tried upgrading blender, and now it works fine with 2.6.
I then attempted another export, and I got an error saying I need the Python Crypto Toolkit for Myst 5 age support and to" generate valid manifest files for Alcugs Dataservers".

Hmm, I thought Crypto was optional... It used to be unavailable for Python 2.6 but now it can be downloaded here.

So if you get that error, doesn't it mean you did not yet upgrade to the latest PyPRP version? That one does not require it any more for Uru export. Of course it could be that Rell-too requires the old version, I don't know.

There was some discussion about removing it for PyPRP 1.6 but in the end this did not happen. The error should not prevent the export but then again how is the user to know that this error is not a fatal one? Anyway, what I meant to say is that the easiest way to stop PyPRP's complaining is to simply install Crypto. ;)

I've tried downgrading and upgrading, but all have the same error. I installed Crypto, and every other PyPRP attachment I could find on the GoW wiki and Alcugs site as well. I'm not sure what happened to cause this, but nothing seems work.

The key to a successful Python installation is to make sure that all the 3rd party libraries mentioned in the wiki match your Python version. The links in the wiki are currently for Blender 2.49b / Python 2.6.

So did Crypto install itself correctly into the Python 2.6 folder? And more importantly, does the error prevent the export of the age (which it should not do) or is it just annoying?
