It's worth it, Kierra. Your Age is beautiful.

Seems I have misunderstood this FTP server (I'm used to running bare-bones Linux servers but on this one I'm constrained by a cpanel). There doesn't seem to be a way of setting up anonymous ftp access.
Either ULM can use a passworded account for downloads (Trylon?) or I set it up on another server.

Anyway, right now anyone who wants the files can get them here:
http://bf1.ecgn.net/chacal/myst/ULM/Aerie/version1/

Just unzip them and copy them in your uru/dat folder. Then you can load them in ULM.

Yeah, it can. just write it down like: ftp://[username]:[passwd]@ftp.server.address/path/to/files

Great!
Kierra, the ftp address is:

ftp://ulm@bf1.ecgn.net:myst@bf1.ecgn.net/Aerie/version1

This is tested with a FTP client and it works.

Wow! This age looks awesome! I'll have to download it to have a proper look when I can(I don't have tPotS on this computer yet).

Question: How did you go about making the vegetation? It looks awesome! It's something I've never quite figured out...

Trial and error. Lots and lots and LOTS of trial and error, LOL

Most of the plants are "billboard" style. It saves a LOT of memory, but you loose a lot in the way of realism and detail. Still trying to find a happy balance there.

Since a lot of textures aren't copyright free, I had to make a lot of the plant textures myself, and it really really helps to have a nice graphics program to use. My Paint Shop Pro 7 program is a bit out of date, but still works reasonably well. I've been using PSP for years, so I'm very comfortable with using it

Even then I had to experiment with stuff, see what worked, what didn't, and keep trying to make it look better. Still not exactly up to par, but its a work in progress.
