I mentioned this book a while back, but couldn't find that post again.

This book is just out: 3D Game Environments

It's written bij Luke Ahearn who also wrote a great book called "3D Game Textures". The new book covers all parts of the creation of 3D environments for games. So all low poly stuff. There is a lot of descriptive stuff we all know already, but also some new things. In the book he works on 2 environments (city and forest camp) and shows how to plan, model and texture. It's all very generic, but does show the process well. He gives a lot of attention to the optimisation of all aspects so a game runs smoothly. Hard to relate this to our agebuilding, since we don't seem to have the tools that game editors have (like poly count alerts and stuff). I also liked the chapter on terrain editing an the creation of plants and trees.

Still a good and fun read and a nice next to my 3D Game Textures book and The Essential Blender :D
