Version 5
With Version 5 I added some dynamic lighting. I used a projection lamp for moving cloud shadows. That's the effect I've been looking for to create ambience.
To make the shadows I baked Blender's clouds onto a torus. It's a lovely cloud ring, for fans of Rocket Science's OBSIDIAN. Unwrapped, it's a periodic texture. The cloud ring is so pretty I'd like to include it in the age, somehow.
Of course, dynamic lighting brings new challenges, as can be seen.
Oh, and I accidentally erased the second cloud layer. I like more blue sky so I'm holding off on restoring it.

The download in ULM is broken (surprise! :P). If you want to post a link to the files or else email them to me (ddbernard-sasktel-net), I can still put them in UAM.

I like the wavering kite, by the way!

I believe I have resolved the download issues. I made a few lighting fixes as well.
Please let me know if downloads still don't work, since they are working for me.

I have improved the lighting with version 9. I wanted more light on the avatar.

Speaking of lighting the avatar, I have a separate, shadow-only lamp to create the dynamic shadows. So, the avatar is not illuminated by the lamp that is used to cast its shadow.

I updated some models and added sound and textures.
The mysterious cloud ring is now exposed. Should you fall into it you will find it a source of delight and danger!

Now I wonder what that is... ;-)
I prefer e-mails to "diafero arcor de" (after adding the at and the dot) over PMs.
