Hydronisii

Postby Johnbeyer » Sun Jul 05, 2009 5:38 am

Fellow Writers. I have finally found my place. With great help of Christian Walther, I will be able to make my ages interactive. 360'pano like in Revelation and Exile. fully walkable trough point and click. Thanks so much.

So, i've starten with an age. It's an age called Hydronisii, which is greek for Water Island. I just started modelling on it so it's still all in the beta's. Quality will be similiar to revelation or Exile when done. I wrote a little story to it to add for now, and a sneak preview map made in photoshop.

Enjoy, and stay tuned for more updates.

Thank you for watching.

The pictures are cut off at the right for me :(
I prefer e-mails to "diafero arcor de" (after adding the at and the dot) over PMs.

I can see the complete picture by rightclicking on it and selecting "View Image".

This indeed looks great... do you plan to also put it in Blender?

Ich bin kein deutscher, bin niederländer :)

Danke.

Nope, this doesnt go into blender. It wil be unable to handle all the faces and I will not put it into uru because it will never reach the graphics it does within Max and Vray. I plan on making it a point and click 360' game.

And, I'm a designer and writer, no programmer. I have no idea how to get it into uru anyway ;)

 You should definitely give Blender a try, your modelling skills are great :) You'd just have to learn to build with less polys... ok, I hope that this is indeed as easy as I saw it here, having not much of an idea about modelling myself

Will the final result be available for free? *me hopes so* :D

This is looking good. I miss Riven-style games.
