My being troubled in ULP,
"Comment" disappears when I clicked "Delete/Edit Pending Translation" to rewrite "Submitted Translations".
I should be copying "Comment" every time to rewrite "Submitted Translations".
The method of keeping "Comments" is necessary for me.

Oh ok, I understand now. Yeah, I think this is a great idea.Niwarori wrote:My being troubled in ULP,

Re: ULP - Request changes NOW or forever hold your peace!
Sorry!! please forget about #1I'm not entire sure what you mean. Can you explain this?1.See once "lost" item and vote for it maybe. (I think it's better to leave all translations until the project is completed, unless one intentionally deletes his/her own ones.)
I thought I could see "Winning translation" only (was it so before?), but now I found out that I can see all the translations and can vote for other translations.
(I saw:"The current winning translation will be replaced if a new submitted translation gets enough votes.")

Maybe a news page so that we can know about changes and new features without having to come to the forum.
Re: ULP - Request changes NOW or forever hold your peace!
That's already on the new homepage which I've been testing. I've got a LOT done already...and, I think, the pages look REALLY good! Not only is there new stuff, the old stuff works better and looks better, and the whole site loads faster tooFloydman wrote:Maybe a news page so that we can know about changes and new features without having to come to the forum.

Re: ULP - Request changes NOW or forever hold your peace!
Something that's been bothering me for a while:
The "completion meters" are based on sections done out of total sections, but sections can vary (quite widely) in length. So my question is: is it possible to base the meters on number of words or letters instead of sections?
EDIT: I do foresee a problem with this idea, as the number of words in a certain language will not be the same when it is translated. An alternative might be to weight each section by the number of words or sentences it contains in English.

A most interesting idea. It already takes a lot of processing power to crunch the numbers for those progress bars. I'm not making any guarantees...but I'll play with itFloydman wrote:Something that's been bothering me for a while:

Ah yes, that's the phrase I was looking for, not "completion meters,"OHB wrote:...progress bars.

So, I played around with using word counts. Good news and bad news. Good news: it's possible. Bad news: it would require a lot of changes.Floydman wrote:Ah yes, that's the phrase I was looking for, not "completion meters,"OHB wrote:...progress bars..
So, I'm going to put that on the back-burner for another day.
