Status of the localization project

Postby Felicias » Sun Mar 06, 2011 9:13 am

Hi there!

I am quite new to the project and I was wondering if it is actually progressing at the moment. I noticed that most parts of Uru Live have been translated into German, while a quite large portion is still missing in other languages (such as Italian). Are people still working on it and is it likely to get a feedback or "like" by other translators for new bits of translation? Or have people stopped working on it?

Another question that might not really fit here: Is there somewhere a note/statement by Cyan/others that these translations will actually be used in MOULa? I read a little comment on the mystonline.com forum that said that a localization project is needed and appreciated.

Best wishes
Felicias (both in this forum and in MOULa)

Hi there. People do continue to work on it...but the more people that contribute the quicker it will be done. Even though translations have been entered, not all of them have been approved. This process ensures that native speakers approve of the translations before they're marked as totally complete.

If you can contribute, please do!

The translations will be used both for PlasmaClient and for MO:ULa where possible. When translations are complete I will package them up and release language packs for MO:ULa.

I hope that answers your questions! :)

Hi!

That answers my questions. I have noticed that a lot of approving is still needed. I am contributing when I got time, because I love the idea of having the interfaces and the content translated for people who do not speak English very well or who would love the story to unwrap in their mothertongue.

Best
