Awesome, thanks diafero. Sorry I caught you off guard--I didn't consider for a moment that your scripts would dislike 301 responses. It's also good to encrypt the old-style auth request considering the hash it uses...

Adding support for 301 would not have been the problem - but HTTPS... gosh, no, please not. I'm happy I was able to avoid that.
The hash is salted, so it's not as bad as it sounds. But of course, The More Crypto, The More Better (TM)
Oh, and, of course, that stuff is transmitted unencrypted between Client and Shard anyway. There's nothing sent on the wire to GoW, that did not come in on the wire from the client.
